HOMESHARING PROGRAM

Educare's Homesharing Program consists of private and semi-private accommodations, meals and life-skills development to meet the needs of each resident.
Homesharing serves not only as a cost-effective solution to the life challenges individuals face due to economic decline, foreclosure possibilities, and family quality of life issues, but also gives the underserved population hope and dignity for a better way of life. The Homesharing Program has assisted many people in need of affordable and supportive housing, personal care services, job placement assistance and skills development. The present economy remains a challenge with homelessness, poverty, foreclosures at an all time high, and veterans exiting the military.
Educare realizes that Veterans are in need of special assistance and help as they return to civilian life and become our neighbors. Consequently, with Prince George’s County hosting the largest percentage of Maryland’s total population of approximately 80,000, Educare has broadened its focus to service our veteran population by way of the ERCVeterans Assistance Program.
Currently, Educare’s Supportive Homeshare Program has two locations in Prince Georges County, Maryland, for persons in need of supportive housing and/or support programs. One location is in Oxon Hill, Maryland (top left) and the other is in Temple Hills, Maryland (bottom left).
